Counter Sales / Technical Sales

Status: Permanent / Full-time

Job Summary:

This position is accountable to branch management for performance of various duties including but not limited to serving walk in and will call customers. They are also responsible for helping with showroom cleanliness, operations, and inventory management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve Will Call customer needs quickly and efficiently.
  • Welcome incoming customers in a friendly, helpful way to ensure that their needs are quickly served.
  • Assist and support Will Call customers in locating tools/products/literature/specifications.
  • Be responsible for backorders from receipt of materials to delivery or Will Call, including notification of customer that product is in.
  • Develop competency with basic product knowledge so as to have an understanding of the customer’s needs.
  • Demonstrate competency and ability in the use of the company’s ERP system while striving for excellence and proficiency.
  • Support and service Field Sales team members in an effort to best serve our customers.
  • Stock, clean, and organize the showroom under the direction of inside sales management.
  • Maintain MSDS and literature files in a complete and organized way.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the responsibilities and accountabilities of inside and outside sales, plus the warehouse, so as to be able to service needs effectively.
  • Provide additional support services to other department management as requested.

Job Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent
  • 1+ years customer service experience required
  • 1+ years industry experience preferred
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

General Warehouse and Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

This position is accountable to warehouse management or branch leadership and will perform a complete range of warehouse functions and have responsibility for providing will call customer service and fulfilling orders with the greatest accuracy and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fill shipping and transfer orders from stock in accordance with pick tickets and other instructions.
  • Load outgoing and unload incoming trucks.
  • Receive and verify correctness of incoming shipments and Company items and quantities against bills of lading, manifests and purchase orders.
  • Put away incoming material in its proper location
  • Prepare items for shipment, verifying that the order is accurately filled and properly packaged with the required shipping records and documentation.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service in assisting customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping and general safety of warehouse and equipment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Field Sales / Account Manager

Status: Full-time

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing assigned customer accounts in such a manner as to meet planned sales, market share, and gross profit goals all within the Company’s established inventory and credit parameters and all other corporate policies, procedures and guidelines. This position is accountable to Corporate Sales Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior day-to-day customer service by helping assigned customers determine product needs.
  • Provide customer quotes, pricing, and other product information and problem/dispute resolution as required.
  • Work with Company product specialists and/or vendor personnel as directed to market designated products to assigned customers.
  • Continuously improve sales and product knowledge by active involvement in Company-directed training sessions, sales meetings, vendor product training, trade shows, industry trade associations and the like.
  • Provide the Company all customer job call, sales call, product quote and/or any other sales-related information as requested.
  • Assist in credit and collection activities as requested.

CDL- Class B Driver

Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable with experience

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the safe, timely and accurate delivery of product to our customers and is accountable to branch leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks/vehicles in the delivery of products to designated customer locations and job sites in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
  • Responsible to assemble and secure product to avoid possible damage due to weather or road conditions.
  • This includes but not limited to: forklift operations, loading/unloading potentially heavy products and strapping down material with ratchet strap system.
  • Ensure and document that materials on the invoice have been loaded and are complete (two-person check is required.).
  • Unload product in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for care of materials, safety of self and others.
  • Responsible to fill out the log book and process paperwork as per procedures.
  • Responsible to project good impression on customers and handle customer complaints in a prompt and courteous man.
  • Responsible for performing general preventative maintenance activities on delivery vehicles, including washing, fluid checks, tire inspections, etc. Complete daily inspection checklist and notify delivery manager of issues.
  • Purchase truck fuel ensuring accurate mileage is noted at pump.
  • Know product location in warehouse and yard to assist in load pulling and/or will calls.
  • Attend monthly driver meetings and participate.
  • Responsible for assigned safety equipment such as hard hats, gloves, back belt, safety glasses, etc.
  • Coach and help train non-CDL drivers to advance their skills.
  • Assist delivery manager in dispatching and/or assignment of loads.
  • Responsible to communicate and solicit feedback from outside sales and inside sales.
  • Make recommendations to delivery manager on improved processes or procedures solicited from the drivers.
  • Other duties assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years CDL driving experience preferred with an accident free record
  • Applicable state licensing requirements required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Maintain your CDL
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
  • May require some heavy lifting at times
  • Physical activity loading and unloading trucks, some heavy lifting (Minimum 50 pounds)
